Who am I? Why AP Lit?
Well, to be brutally honest, before coming into AP Lit I didn't particularly enjoy reading. I never had been much of a reader. I liked dealing with numbers; and equations; and true facts; things that I could confirm with a couple clicks on a calculator. However, from the work of many summer reading assignments, vocabulary quizzes, and learning the difference between analyzing and summarizing, I have become quite fond of reading. It has become easier, and thanks to the knowledge of Thomas C. Foster, I am analyzing pieces of literature better each and every day. But, aside from the works of art by Foster, I have found my vocabulary becoming much stronger. I have learned a numerous amount of new tone words, and ultimately improved my writing because of it.
Before you explore my work, you must first have a brief understanding of who I am. I am a high school senior at Harper Creek High School and I never have a dull moment, participating in an at least one activity every season. You can find my list of activities and honors towards the bottom of the page, and my voice as a writer under the Great Works tab. |
